Pizza night! Don’t be intimidated by making the dough – the recipe below is quick & easy and worth the few extra minutes. Just do it.🍕
Dough Ingredients:
•Warm water (110 degrees F), 1 cup
•Active dry yeast, 1 (.25 ounce)
•Sugar, 1 tsp
•All-purpose flour, 2 ½ cups
•Olive Oil, 2 tbsp
•Salt, 1 ½ tsp
Toppings:
** I didn’t include measurements because in my opinion, toppings should always be measured with your heart, but I’ve provided instructions of how I topped it below**
•Ricotta Cheese
•Fig jam
•Salt
•Fresh ground pepper
•Garlic Powder
•Shredded mozzarella cheese
•Arugula
•Sliced prosciutto
•Shaved parmesan cheese
•Olive oil
•Mike’s Hot Honey
Dough Instructions:
•Pour warm water in a bowl; add yeast and sugar. Mix & let stand until foamy (about 10 minutes).
•Using a stand mixer + dough hook, add flour, oil, and salt to the yeast mixture; beat until smooth.
•Place into an oiled bowl and roll the dough so that it’s oiled on all sides. Cover the bowl & let sit for 20 minutes.
•Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a 12-inch circle (or rectangle if you’d prefer to use a baking sheet). Transfer to the prepared pizza pan.
•Bake just the crust for 5 minutes, then remove and add toppings (topping instructions below).
•Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, 15 to 20 minutes.
Topping Instructions:
•Spread ricotta from center to edges.
•Add fig jam in small spoonful’s around the pizza and use a spoon to spread it around/ mix with the ricotta that’s already spread on the pizza.
•Sprinkle desired seasonings – salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
•Bake for 15 – 20 minutes.
•Remove the pizza once golden brown/ crispy.
•Add the arugula, prosciutto, and shaved parmesan cheese.
•Drizzle olive oil + Mike’s hot honey over the top & enjoy!
