The donut flavor: chocolate peanut butter. The toppings: chocolate glaze with a peanut butter drizzle and crushed Reese's peanut butter cups. There's really not much else to say about this chocolaty masterpiece other than these peanut butter cup donuts are so simple to make.
Donut Ingredients:
1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
½ cup sugar
¼ cup PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
2 Tbsp butter, melted
2/3 cup sour cream
1 egg
1 tsp clear vanilla extract
¼ cup chocolate oat or almond milk (I used Planet Oat Chocolate Oat Milk)
Donut Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and grease a 12-mold donut pan.
In medium-sized bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, peanut butter powder, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
In separate large bowl, combine melted butter, sour cream, the egg and vanilla extract. Stir together until well-combined, then add the oat milk and stir again until combined.
Add dry ingredients to wet and stir until combined.
Pour batter into a large ziplock bag and snip off the corner of the bag for a makeshift piping bag.
Pipe the batter into the donut pans, filling the molds about 2/3 of the way full.
Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool before glazing.
Chocolate Glaze Ingredients:
1 tbsp corn syrup, light
1/4 cup Hershey's cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup water water
Chocolate Glaze Instructions:
Whisk all of the ingredients vigorously until smooth.
