You need a Marg to go with those nachos... so here is how I make mine! I need to note that my Dad and brother make amazing margaritas, so I'll share their recipe another time, but this is my go-to recipe that I use when they're not around to make me one... I think this fresh and simple margarita is just as good!
Ingredients For 1 Big Margarita (or 2 small margaritas if you’re in the mood for sharing):
· 3 ounces reposado tequila
· 2 ounces orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
· 1 1/5 - 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lime juice (depending on how tart you like your margs)
· Agave nectar syrup, to taste (I use about 1 to 1 + 1/2 tbsp)
· Ice
· Lime wedge and coarse salt
Salty Lime Rim:
· Before making the margarita and putting ice in the glass, zest a lime onto a plate and mix with coarse salt. Line the rim of the glass with lime juice using a lime wedge. Then, gently push the rim of the glass into the salt/lime zest mixture.
