Two things that I love very much: Coffee Cake & Banana Bread. So why not mix them together to make Coffee Cake Banana Bread? I see no reason not to. This classic banana bread recipe is topped with a simple crumb topping and is super easy to make!
Banana Bread Ingredients:
3-4 medium or large bananas
2 Tbsp dark brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp ground cinnamon
3/4 tsp pumpkin spice
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sour cream
Crumb Topping Ingredients:
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour
1 cup dark brown sugar
6 Tbsp butter, cold
Bread Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350. Grease a 4.5-Inch x 8.5-Inch loaf pan
In a bowl, mash bananas, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
In a separate bowl, mix in butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Then, add in eggs and beat until mixed.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined then add the sour cream and mix again.
Pour in mashed bananas mixture and mix until combined. Pour mixture into the loaf pan.
Crumb Topping Instructions:
Combine cinnamon, flour, and brown sugar. Cut in butter with a pastry cutter, and mix until the topping looks like crumbs. Sprinkle coating evenly over the batter in the pan.
Bake for about 35-40 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Slice and enjoy!
